Victoria Velozo

    Victoria Velozo specializes in her artistic practice about the creation of contemporary semi-abstract pieces that uniquely combine both contemporary abstract and traditional art form in a realistic approach. This synthesis provides her with the opportunity to explore and contrast the dynamics between Realism and Abstract movements.

     The noted artist Victoria Velozo was born in UK in 1964. Victoria holds Australian nationality. Velozo's works are extensively showcased in several important exhibitions not only in Australia but also in Europe, USA, China and India. Her present body of works serves as a testament to her commitment that fosters a connection with the environment, particularly the endangered grassy plains. Once expansive and vibrant, these habitats now encounter significant threats from urbanization. Describing her personal style as one that consistently generates tension, she accomplishes this through a deliberate fusion of premeditated realism and spontaneous abstract improvisation. Realism acts as a benchmark of technical proficiency, while the abstract components facilitate free artistic expression. She further amplifies this tension by juxtaposing various traditional painting mediums, including oil, watercolour, and acrylic within the same painting. She was awarded the excellence of 'Artist of the Year Certificate' 2018/19 in January 2019 and Award of excellence Certificate in fine art in November 2018 both from USA.
