Veronika Weberová

       Veronika Weberová, a prominent professional Slovak artist and an art teacher who had pursued her studies at the Department of Jewelry Design, the High School of Scenic Arts, and the Department of Art Education at Comenius University in Bratislava, Slovakia (Mgr. , PaedDr. , PhD. ). She utilizes a personally developed ebru technique that involves painting on water, often integrating it with line drawing. Over the years, she has held several solo exhibitions and participated in numerous group shows. Her works have been displayed in Slovakia, the Czech Republic, Ukraine, Serbia, Italy, and Austria. In 2019, she was honored with the Premio Speciale Della Critica at the Premio Internazionale D'Arte San Crispino in Porto Sant Elpidio (Italy) awarded by La Tavolozza. In 2005, she earned the second position for her creation of a pearl row at the 4th edition of the Tahitian Pearl Trophy in Slovakia. Currently, she resides and works in Bratislava, Slovakia.

 

      The artist uses a modified technique for painting using ebru on water, along with pen drawing and wire sculpture. She has held over 25 solo exhibitions and participated in more than 100 group exhibitions in various countries, including Slovakia, Italy, Hungary, and the USA. Her art has appeared in publications like ‘Aesthetica Magazine’ and she has received multiple awards, including the 2023 International Prize Donatello and the 2023 ‘International Prize Pegasus’ for the Arts. Her work has been featured in significant events like the ‘International Biennale of Chisinau’ and exhibitions in Miami and Paris. 

     Veronika's works were showcased at both the ‘First’ & ‘Second’ phase of ‘Third Kolkata International Art Exhibition 2025’ or ‘3rd KIAE 2025’ for short, curated by artist ‘Kaushik Gupta’ and were held at ‘Birla Academy of Art & Culture’ and ‘Academy of Fine Arts’ Kolkata, in the months of February and March respectively.

 

        The artist lives and works in Hodonín, Czech Republic.
