Born in 'Las Tunas' a Cuban city in 1960, David Roche obtained his Master degree in 'Plastic Arts' from the 'University of Havana', Cuba in 1989. Earlier in 1983, he did his BA degree in History from the 'Faculty of Fine Arts', Habana. He holds a Diploma in 'Painting, Sculpture and Design' from 'San Alejandro National School of Fine Arts', Habana, in 1977.

       The artist is gifted with intense emotional sense about the idea of volume, space, textures, tones & colours that he masters with exquisite delicacy. His work evokes a clear notion towards sensuality and spontaneity. The artist has already bagged numerous prestigious awards & accolades in his extensive artistic journey to date. Roche's works received recognition and fame both nationally & internationally. He is the recipient of 'Gold Medal' in 'OFA 2008' in Beijing 2008 & another 'Gold medal in 'First Ecorea Jeonbuk Biennale 2012' held in South Korea 2012. His works were exhibited in the '5th Biennial of Drawing' held at 'Art Museum of Mont-Saint-Hilaire, Quebec, Canada in 2015. David's work were showcased in 'Tijuana Triennial' under the patronage of 'Secretariat of Culture of the State of Mexico and CECUT', Tijuana, Basse-Californie, Mexico in 2022. The artist holds Canadian nationality and lives and works in Quebec, Canada.
