Kaushik Gupta

     Kaushik Gupta is a multi disciplinary artist and the recipient of Overseas Travel Grant from 'Institute for Regional Economics & Social Design, IRESD' Volgograd, Russia to participate in the ‘IVth Annual Festival’ titled "Excuse me, have you seen Mr. Losev?" an Artist-in-Residence program held in Volgograd, Russia in May 2019. The artist was awarded 'Gunavant Hanamant Nagarkar Award' in '129th All India Annual Art Exhibition 2021' by 'The Bombay Art Society' in March-April 2021.

     The artist was invited and participated in a month long 'Artists Residency Program' at the 'Baltic Gallery of Contemporary Art' in Ustka Poland in July 2019 where he conducted a short solo exhibition of his works titled 'Czy jesteśmy szczęśliwi?'. Recently in October 2023, the artist got the opportunity to take part in the '6th Tao Hua Tan International Artists Residency Program' held in Anhui, China. Gupta's works were showcased in the 7th 'International Biennial of Painting, Chisinau 2021' held in 'The National Art Museum of Moldova' in September 2021. Gupta participated in the '1st Dafen International Oil Painting Biennale' held from November, 2018 to February, 2019 held in Shenzhen, China. His work was exhibited in the '17th Asian Art Biennale held in Dhaka, Bangladesh' in December, 2016.

 

       His work is exhibited twice in the 4th & 5th editions of prestigious ‘Cima Art Award’ held in February 2022 & 2025 respectively under the of ‘National Awards Programme’ held in the galleries of ‘CIMA’ in Kolkata, India. He has Curated, the Inaugural Edition of ‘Kolkata International Art Exhibition’ KIAE for short, held in June, 2016 at the Prestigious Gallery of ‘Rabindranath Tagore Centre’.And its subsequent editions the second (2nd) and Third (3rd) held recently in 2024 and 2025 at the galleries of ‘Academy of Fine Arts’ and ‘Birla Academy of Art & Culture’ Kolkata, respectively.

     

          The artist lives and works in Kolkata.
