Dipayan Ghosh
Dipayan was born in Kolkata, India, a city that is abundant in art and culture. His creations embody vivid colors and themes that evoke the senses and stimulate the imagination. As a Cubist Expressionist, he aims to convey human emotions and foster positive change through his artistic endeavors. Drawn inspiration from the European Renaissance, his initial artworks demonstrate a reverence for that epoch. He acquired techniques from distinguished artists in Kolkata and delved into an array of mediums before concentrating on acrylic, oil, and charcoal.
The artist has earned a Bisharad Diploma from Rabindra Bharati University, West Bengal, India, and another Diploma in 'Drawing andPainting' from 'London Art College' and is presently involved with the 'Royal Academy of Arts.' Ghosh's works have been curated for Manhattan Arts Houston', USA by Renee Philips. The artist has made his presence felt at 'Elizabeth James Gallery' London, Galerie Metanoia in Paris and Lalit Kala Akademi, New Delhi to name a few.
Up until now, the artist is showered with lots of esteemed awards and accolades from distinguished art institutes both domestically as well as internationally. Some of the key awards that the artist has bagged to date are 'International Prize Leonardo da Vinci', Borghese Palace, Florence, Italy in 2022, International Prize Rafaello and Canova, Venice, Italy in 2021, Best of America, National Oil & Acrylic Painters Society, Houston, TX, USA in 2020.
Ghosh's artwork is held in collections by distinguished art collectors in New York, London, Kolkata, and Mumbai. Dipayan’s creations were displayed during both the initial and subsequent phases of the ‘Third Kolkata International Art Exhibition 2025,’ abbreviated as ‘3rd KIAE 2025,’ curated by artist ‘Kaushik Gupta’ which took place at the renowned galleries of ‘Birla Academy of Art and Culture’ and ‘Academy of Fine Arts’ in Kolkata in the months of February and March, respectively.
Ghosh is currently residing and creating art in Mumbai as a full-time artist.
