Debaroti holds an MFA degree in painting from 'Kala Bhavana' Santiniketan, a well-known and distinguished centre for Visual Art practice and research in India which she earned in 2018, under 'Visva Bharati University. The young talented artist has developed her distinctive style of expression through her dedicated art practice.

        Born in 1987, at one stage of her art practice, the artist demonstrated a keen interest in analogue photography and negative film. The artist draws inspiration from her surroundings and employs her day to day experiences to influence her compositions. Seth is the recipient of a Junior Fellowship Scholarship, granted by the Ministry of Culture in 2018. The artist was awarded in the 4th edition of 'Chitramayee, State Gallery of Art, 2023, Hyderabad. She had the opportunity to showcase her works at the esteemed '57th Annual Exhibition' organised by 'Birla Academy of Art & Culture' in Kolkata in 2025.

      Her works were showcased at both the ‘First’ & ‘Second’ phase of ‘Third Kolkata International Art Exhibition 2025’ or ‘3rd KIAE 2025’ for short, curated by artist ‘Kaushik Gupta’ and were held at ‘Birla Academy of Art & Culture’ and ‘Academy of Fine Arts’ Kolkata, in the months of February and March respectively. The artist has also made her presence felt in several other prominent multi-artist exhibitions in recent times. 'Unknowns 8' held at 'Dwija Art Gallery’ in Bengaluru 2024, A Bunch of Mining' at 'Cave 31' 2023, "5th Young Santiniketan Artists Exhibition' etc to name a few. More recently the artist took part in an ‘International Artists Residency Program’ titled ‘Chitrashaala’ in its 11th edition organised and hosted by ‘jüSTa Hotels & Resorts’ which took place in ‘Rishikesh’

         The artist allocates her time working in Santiniketan and Malda.
