The passionate painter Malika Sanjeevani completed her Bachelor's degree in Visual Arts, specializing in Painting, from the prestigious University of Visual and Performing Arts located in Colombo in the year 2007. In her younger days, Malika Sanjeevani was somewhat introverted and frequently experienced feelings of loneliness. Yet, during this formative period, she was fortunate enough to have the opportunity to live in close proximity to the beauty of nature. This allowed her to observe the lush, bushy trees, the intricate behaviors of birds, the diverse insects, and the delicate butterflies that surrounded her. These natural elements remained etched in her subconscious mind and later emerged in her artistic expressions, manifesting in her paintings in a surreal manner that captivates the audience.
Malika's work has been widely exhibited not only in Sri Lanka but also internationally, showcasing her talent on a regular basis. Among her notable achievements, she participated in the prestigious 17th Asian Art Biennale held in Dhaka, Bangladesh, in 2016.
