Born in Kankinara near Kolkata, artist 'Krishna Seal' obtained her B.Fine degree securing (1st class) in painting from 'Indira Kala Sangeet University' (IKSU) in 2006. Later in 2008 she did her M.Fine in painting from the same university.

      The young talented artist 'Krishana' has developed her own style of expression through her relentless practice in experimenting with abstract art form. She has already participated in numerous important art shows in India and abroad. Renowned art gallery 'Triveni Kala Sangam' in New Delhi organised her first solo show in 2010. She was invited to exhibit in 'The Bengal Art Show', held at 'India Habitat Center', in New Delhi in 2011 & 2012. Her works were also showcased in several multi artist joint exhibitions held at the prestigious galleries of 'Birla Academy of Art & Culture', Academy of Fine Arts, Nazrul Tirtha Art Gallery, Altamira Art Gallery in Kolkata. She has also exhibited quite a few times at the prestigious 'Lalit Kala Akademi' and 'Lokayata' in New Delhi. She is the recipient of 'Art Critics Award' in 'Art of Colours' Exhibition held at ICCR Kolkata and 'Pragati Kala Ratna in 2019. The artist splits her time working in Bharatpur (Rajasthan) and in Kolkata.
