Artist Ashita Gupta is showered with numerous prestigious awards & accolades in his wonderful artistic journey thus far. She is currently working towards her PhD from the Department of Painting, Faculty of Visual Arts, BHU Varanasi. The artist completed both her Master’s and Bachelor’s Degree from the same institution in 2020 and 2018 respectively. Ashita has participated in both the First & Second Phases of 'Third Kolkata International Art Exhibition 2025' ' or 3rd KIAE 2025' for short curated by artist Kaushik Gupta, held in February 2025 and March 2025 at the prestigious galleries of 'Birla Academy of Art & Culture' and 'Academy of Fine Arts' Kolkata respectively.
       In her work having  title ‘Search I & II’ the artist explores the correlation between internal fears & environment. It investigates how individuals navigate both challenging and tranquil periods, encompassing conflicts and personal development. The text addresses difficulties in troubled relationships and profound anxieties. The act of swimming signifies a quest for tranquillity while also representing the confrontation of fears and the surmounting of challenges. The employment of transparent paper and gentle forms illustrates the necessity for vulnerability and resilience in addressing issues which illustrates how a single error can overshadow many successes and criticizes the common belief in male superiority. It encourages reflection on life’s struggles while seeking personal peace. She was chosen from BHU to participate in the Youth Delegation's visit to various countries under ‘International Youth Exchange Program’ scheduled for 2022-23. She was awarded the Junior Research Fellowship in November 2020. She had the privilege of  showcasing  her works at the acclaimed ‘Kochi-Muziris Biennale Foundation’, Student’s Biennale twice in 2021 & 2020. The artist lives and works in Varanasi.
